Project One - Reflection

In a nutshell, this isn't a finished film. While it stands alone as-is, there is more feeling and meaning that I would like to cram into it. The biggest critique I have is that the sound isn't correct. At home, things sounded fine. However, I didn't test out my film and sounds on the projector. This was a faulty move, because the film was made to be shown on a projector, in a classroom, with adequate speakers. In hindsight, previewing the films I make in the spaces they will be in is a must.

The second biggest critique I have is over the video quality. While I knew that the .mov file looked grainy, it appeared that the .mp4 file was fine, and it was when it's shown on a smaller computer screen. I thought that the projector would be fine, but my video quality was pretty grainy once it was shown on the big screen (this happened with many others in the class as well).

From a creative standpoint, I feel that I did an adequate job. The clips and clip juxtapositions I chose worked well for what I was trying to convey. However, like I mentioned earlier, I don't feel that I did a great job of getting all the pieces of the film together. It just feels like it's missing the grip-your-heart feelings that I want it to have. I would love to shoot more clips, fix the video issue, and fix the audio issue.
